Well Said!

Blog CommentsI have long wanted to write a weekly post where I put up some of the best blogs posts from other blogs and best comments from this blog that I have read this past week. I hope to do this regularly…but we’ll see if I can remember to do it…

Posts

Here are some of the blog posts I read this week that really made an impact on me.

Comments

On Bounded Sets and Centered Sets, Dan B. from Snorting Horses wrote this breathtaking comment:

I’m less interested in getting someone through the door of some building. In fact, I have almost zero interest in that unless there’s something about what goes on in that building that really helps my friend walk more closely with God. My focus is on walking through life toward Christ with people.

On C. S. Lewis did not Like Church, Katherine Gunn from Truth Makes Freedom matched my sentiments exactly:

Many people are not even allowed to participate in such places because they don’t make enough money, don’t look appealing enough…don’t fit the desired demographic…don’t agree with every doctrinal point. In my own experience, I had to walk away from the ‘church’ to preserve my spiritual life.

On Bounded Sets and Centered Sets, Sam from Grace Ground echoed my wish and desire:

In all fairness, there are hundreds of thousands of churches in the USA. Surely there must be those who care about people and care whether people actually know Jesus.

Thank you all for your comments and the blogs posts on your own blogs! I try to read most the blogs of the bloggers who comment here regularly, and am challenged and encouraged by what I read.
