Dear Michael,
I have been unemployed now 15 months, and today was the first time I have turned to God, when I saw your posting on tillhecomes.org Shame had driven me to become reclusive. I believed that once I became successful again (interpreted as having an important job that defined me) I would reconnect with colleagues and only then could I be accepted.
However today I stepped out of my comfort zone and reached out to an old friend.
What I discovered was that the value I am seeking, will not come from an outside source, like a job.
It has come from within, knowing that I can only do the best and asking god to do the rest.
Thank you for your courage to express your story.

Michael,
Thank you for your comment. I got really mad at God and others who I felt stabbed me in the back when I lost my job. I am glad you are sticking close with God through this time. Don't be afraid to tell Him how you feel and what you are thinking as you face the frustration and uncertainty of your future.

Where/how are you looking for work?

I am going through job loss but at the same time I have redicated my life to God. The emptyness in my heart is filled, but I am alone as far as family is concerned. My fear of being homeless and my dogs. I have no one to turn to but God. I need to learn that his will not mine be done. I have been in turmoil and I am at the age where the prospects of a job can be limited. I pray for Gods will that a door will be open for me. I am somewhat new to this, but by the Grace of God that I learn to cope. Please pray for me in my hour of need.
