    Hey Jeremy,

I was wondering if you could give me some insights on something. I wrote a paper in college defending the necessity to understand Christ’s divinity in order to be saved. I have since come to doubt that position greatly, but it seems like it was pretty obvious that Jesus was claiming to be God and that understanding Him as such was one of the purposes of John’s gospel. Can we come to believe in Him for eternal life without understanding his deity? Antonio’s already given me some thoughts, I’d like to hear yours. Thanks so much.

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the question. It is one I am currently struggling with. Maybe I’ll make a post on this in a bit, and we can interact there. Would you mind e-mailng me your paper?

    Thanks!
