Elna,

I agree. I have always taught that until we know, believe, and obey everything God has told us in Scripture, we shouldn't expect to hear "more." Why should God give us more when we can't learn and obey what He's already given?

thanks for the comment!

My opinion about this will be totally controvercial. But I have found people who are 'smitten' with the Holy spirit to be in the same league as New Agers. With that I mean those people that visit fortune tellers, etc because they need to have control over life. It is so easy to manipulate people and situations and give yourself standing in life when you can call on the reputation of the Holy Spirit.

I have a relationship with God and He talks to me through His Word. And any revelation that a so-called prophet has will only be a confirmation to what He's told me, if it's the truth. Amazingly the amount of nonsense that's spread. I have found that God talks to me about sin in my life but..these 'prophet's' always speaks about vague nonsense. Just like any good old fortune teller. All prophets in the Bible admonished the people and their leaders about sin. Does the so-called prophet filled with the Holy Spirit in your life do that? Is the so-called prophet willing to die for the word that he/she received? Is the word received by the prophet worth it to die for??
