Andew,

Keep in touch! I love the way you think and write - both with clarity and conviction. Who knows how God might bring our paths together in the future...

i, too, had a life plan blow up in my face. i, too, have a warm spot for the northwest, especially washington state. yet, strangely God has some really weird plans for me, and every day is a wonderful 'adventure' to find out what they are! anyways, i'm feelin' the vibe you are giving out. hopefully someday, i will team up with a uniquely minded evangelist like yourself...and plant a church! what crazy adventures would ensue! and, even more fun, what craziness it would be trying to juggle starting a church and finding a job! fortunately for me, i have a good 8 years between here and there to think about things.

Wishing you the best :)

Hey Jeremy!

I just left a comment on your post about Viola's new book. Then I read your profile. Are you my long-lost brother? We seem to have a great deal in common. I've read most of the books on your sidebar, I am a Civilization addict, have connected with Brad Brisco online, have been a church planter, experienced the implosion of my big life plan, live with more questions than answers, and my wife and I are in the adoption journey which began with Guatemala but shifted domestic after Guatemala shut down international adoption.

You even kind of look like me.

Weird.

Brad,

I am open to nearly anywhere, and I have considered many different places, from here in Texas or Oklahoma, to New Zealand (came really close to that option, but then we learned that we can't adopt and move to New Zealand...).

I am still leaning most heavily toward the Northwest United States, partly due to demographics (one area I am seriously considering is only 10% "churched") and partly due to how God has wired me and my family.

As to your second question, I definitely want it to be missional/organic. My greatest temptation right now is to go with something "safer" or more recognizable and familiar, but every time I consider it, I discover some core value of mine that I would have to compromise. Please pray that I stay true to what God is teaching me!

Jeremy

Just curious about your church planting plans. Why Montana? Where else have you considered? Are you thinking about a missional/organic type of plant?
